- Dr Tay Guan Tzu’s subspecialty interests are in paediatric orthopaedics, adult and paediatric foot and ankle surgery, as well as deformity correction of the lower limb.
- In 2012, Dr Tay received the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award for subspecialty training in the field of foot and ankle surgery in Geneva, Switzerland.
- Upon his return to Singapore, he started the foot and ankle service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) in 2013.
- Dr Tay served at the paediatric orthopaedics department at KKH until end 2016.
- He joined the foot and service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)’s orthopaedics surgery department from 2016 – 2020.
- He is a keen contributor to the field of teaching and was one of the education year-leads for the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. As an adjunct assistant professor, he was a regular examiner in their end-of-posting as well as the final MBBS exams.
- He was also a clinical lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and served as an adjunct assistant professor to the Duke-NUS School of Medicine.
- Dr Tay is an active member and contributor to the community of orthopaedics, and serves as a visiting consultant to TTSH, KKH, and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
