• Dr Zulfikar Rasheed is trained in breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery including breast augmentation and reduction. He is able to perform reconstructive techniques ranging from implants with acellular dermal matrices (ADMs) to autologous reconstruction with the deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) and transverse upper gracilis (TUG) flaps.
• His other interests include male gynecomastia surgery, body contouring surgery, post-bariatric surgery, liposuction, fat grafting, facial plastic and aesthetic surgery, eyelid surgery, non-invasive facial rejuvenation, reconstructive microsurgery and general plastic surgery such as scars, wounds and skin lesions.
• In 2012, Dr Rasheed advanced his training by subspecialising in microsurgical breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery in a 1-year clinical fellowship in Brussels, Belgium.
• From 2013 – 2018, Dr Rasheed worked as a plastic surgeon at the Singapore General Hospital and was a visiting consultant to Changi General Hospital.
• He also held positions as adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School from 2014 – 2018 and clinical senior lecturer at the Department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine from 2015 – 2018.
• Dr Rasheed serves as a committee member in the Chapter of Plastic Surgeons, College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and member of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons.
• He also volunteers in humanitarian medical missions in countries like Cambodia, Bangladesh, Indonesia and China, and has been a volunteer medical doctor for the Singapore Grand Prix.
