• Dr Kieron Lim has experience in caring for patients with conditions related to the Oesophagus, stomach, colon, liver, pancreas and gall bladder.
• His special interests include the assessment and treatment of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, hepatitis B and C, fatty liver disease, liver cancer and colon cancer screening.
• Dr Lim is also experienced in oesophago-gastro-duodenoscopy (OGD), endoscopic variceal ligation, colonoscopy, polypectomy, capsule endoscopy and liver transient elastography (fibroscan).
• Prior to entering private practice, Dr Lim was the head of the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, National University Hospital (NUH), and medical director for liver transplantation at the National University Centre for Organ Transplantation. He was assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and honorary adjunct assistant professor at the Division of Liver Diseases, Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai New York, USA.
• Dr Lim is currently a visiting consultant at NUH where he continues to be involved in postgraduate education and training of future specialists.
• Dr Lim has published multiple research studies in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology. He is an invited reviewer of internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals. These include the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, World Journal of Gastroenterology, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases, Transplantation, Clinical Transplantation, Annals Academy of Medicine Singapore, Singapore Medical Journal.
• He is an editorial board member of the European Medical Journal, a scientific committee member of the Asia Pacific Primary Liver Cancer Society, and an invited reviewer for the Health and Medical Research Fund from the government of Hong Kong. Dr Lim also served on advisory committees at the national organ transplant unit of Singapore, pharmacy and therapeutics committee at NUH, and the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore
