• Keahlian khusus pada sleep medicine, where he treats sleep disturbances and disorders, as well as in intensive care medicine.

• Dr Lee Yeow Hian completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the Queen’s University of Belfast, UK in 1997. He underwent basic medical training in the United Kingdom and subsequently became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. Dr Lee then embarked on advanced training in respiratory medicine at the Alexandra Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) in Singapore.
• Dr Lee was awarded the Health Manpower Development Program (HMDP) award to train in sleep medicine at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, Australia where he trained under Professor Ron Grunstein, an expert in the field. Dr Lee obtained his Master of Medicine in sleep Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2007, where he worked with another doyen in field, Professor Colin Sullivan.
• Dr Lee was formerly the principal physician-in-charge of the sleep laboratory at the Alexandra Hospital and subsequently in TTSH. He was also a consultant in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at TTSH, where he was instrumental in developing its sleep services. He continues to be a visiting consultant and helms the sleep services in both TTSH and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
• Besides being a trainer in intensive care medicine under the joint committee on specialist training in Singapore, Dr Lee also trains sleep physicians and technologists in the region. Dr Lee has also been invited to speak at major scientific conferences internationally and regionally, such as the World Congress on Sleep Apnoea in Seoul in 2009.
