• Dr Gwee Hak Meng was previously a Consultant and Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore. He received his MBBS (1970) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) (1974) at the University of Singapore.
• He was admitted as a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (1974) and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (1979) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (1979).
• Dr. Gwee was also the receipient of the Naffield Foundation Posstgraduate Scholarship to pursue training in endocrinology at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School of London, Hammersmith Hospital in 1977/78. He was a visiting consultant to SGH, Ministry of Heath (1983-1990) and Part-time Lecturer, Department of Medicine NUS (1983-1993).
