• Keahlian khusus pada managing a wide range of ENT conditions, and has a passion for treating conditions of the nose and sinuses, as well as snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).
• Dr Gan Eng Cern completed his subspecialty training in Nose and Sinuses (Rhinology & Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery) at St Paul’s Sinus Centre at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
• Prior to starting private practice, Dr Gan was an ENT specialist and also the chief rhinologist (nose and sinus subspecialist) at Changi General Hospital, Singapore.
• Dr Gan was a senior clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, and has spoken at various local, regional and international conferences.
• He remains as the rhinology director of the Foundation Surgical Skills Course in Otolaryngology (an annual cadaveric dissection course organised by the ENT Department at Changi General Hospital to train ENT surgeons around the world).
• He is also the former honorary treasurer for the Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in Singapore (SOHNSS).
• Dr Gan practises evidence-based medicine and has been published in numerous leading peer-reviewed ENT journals. His work in patient positioning during sinus surgery to minimise bleeding and improve safety also won him the prestigious 19th Yahya Cohen Memorial Lectureship in 2014.
• He has contributed textbook chapters, including a topic on fungal rhinosinusitis, in the 8th edition of Scott-Brown’s Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (a definitive reference British textbook for ENT and head and neck surgeons).
• Throughout his career, Dr Gan has received multiple awards in teaching, patient care, research and medical work. These include the Best Educator Award, “Wow” Patient Compliment Award, and the Caring Award by Eastern Health Alliance.
• Dr Gan is also recipient of the Sing Health Best Doctor Award in 2007.
