• Azhar Zain commenced his practice at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist effective Feb 2002.
• He obtained his MD (UKM), M. Psych. Med (Malaya) and Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy (University of Oxford). He was a Clinical Fellow of the Behavior Modification and Rehabilitation Unit of Horton Hospital, Surrey, UK.
• Besides being a life member of the MMA, He is also a member of the British Association of Cognitive Therapists, and the Malaysian Psychiatric Association.In the Malaysian Psychiatric Association he served as Editor of the MPA Journal for many years. In the MMA, he has served in various committees and was Chairman of the Kelantan Branch when he was working in Kelantan. He was also chairman of the Victims of Violence Committee, and was active in the Postgraduate Committee. He served in the MJM for many years where he was also the Chief Editor of the journal for many years.He is also an adviser to the Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society in which he has served as President before.
