- Dr Ang Teck Kee has more than 15 years of clinical experience, and has performed more than 3,000 invasive coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions, mostly through the less invasive radial (wrist) artery approach.
- He specialises in procedures such as complex left main coronary artery disease intervention, complex bifurcation coronary artery disease intervention, and chronic total occlusion of coronary artery intervention.
- He is well-versed in the use of specialised intra-coronary artery imaging tools like intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and optical coherence tomography (OCT), which enhances treatment options in diseased coronary arteries and optimises coronary stent placement.
- He has a special interest in stroke prevention in patients with abnormal heart rhythms (such as atrial fibrillation) and primary prevention (preventive healthcare).
- He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and obtained his postgraduate internal medicine degree in 2010.
- During his National Service stint from 2006 – 2008 where he served as a military doctor in the Republic of Singapore Navy, Dr Ang was awarded a Letter of Commendation by Chief Navy Medical Service for resourcefulness and initiative in casualty management when he went out of his way to save a civilian life.
- He underwent cardiology advanced specialty training in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) from 2011 – 2014 and was accredited by Singapore Medical Council and Ministry of Health as a specialist in cardiology in 2014.
- In 2016, he was awarded the Human Manpower Development Program scholarship by Ministry of Health to subspecialise in the field of interventional cardiology at the Liverpool District Hospital (LDH) in Sydney.

- In 2017, he returned to Singapore and worked as a certified senior interventional cardiologist, providing 24/7 acute heart attack interventional service in KTPH.
- Dr Ang is a strong believer in using technological advances in cardiology in his practice, such as the use of anatomical snuff box (base of thumb) artery access for minimally invasive angioplasty.
- He was the chairman of the anti-thrombotic workgroup in KTPH.
- Dr Ang’s past and present academic appointments include continuous medical education lead in KTPH’s cardiology department; core faculty member of the National Healthcare Group (NHG) cardiology senior residency programme; core faculty member of the NHG internal medicine residency programme, clinical educator at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS; and clinical teacher at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

- Dr Ang has written articles on cardiology issues including the management of arterial access site following invasive coronary procedures, and intense multiple blood thinners usage in heart attacks due to blood clot laden coronary artery. His works have been published in international peer-reviewed journals, and he is regularly invited as speaker and faculty in major local and international cardiology conferences.
- He is the recipient of several awards including the Service Champion awards in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
